It took awhile to get into this book (my first by Judith Ivory. Normally, I don't like rhe older man, (very) young woman plot. However, yes, the heroine was vain, spoilt and selfish but then the hero was vain and the stunt he pulled first on the ship and then at the end when he jumps down the stairs, shows remarkable bad judgement. Yes, he was kind and knew he had to make up to her and yes, she was kind and torn after believing she lost her first love. In al, the age difference was more in years than in the set of mind(s).
